The Global Refugee Forum 2023 will take place from 13 to 15 December at the Palexpo in Geneva, Switzerland, with linked events from 11 December onwards. Held every four years, the Forum is an opportunity for the international community to come together to find solutions, amplify impact and commit to sustained actions and support for refugees and their host countries.

The World Bank Land Conference 2024

The World Bank Land Conference will be taking place 13-17 May 2024 at the World Bank headquarters in Washington DC after a hiatus.

The GLTN will be supporting several sessions throughout the conference covering various topics such as land administration, tenure and crisis, urbanization, climate and disasters and women’s rights. More information.

The main objective of the event is to build knowledge and capacity in the Asian region to address climate change and disaster-induced challenges in safeguarding land rights of vulnerable communities, emphasizing the critical role of land governance and disaster resilience.

The second objective is to foster collaborative partnerships among national and regional institutions, academics, and professionals from various organisations, including non-state actors, Non-Government Organisation (NGOs) and private sector, to facilitate multi-stakeholder dialogues, knowledge sharing and technology transfer at the regional level.
