Call for entries: Youth and Land Contest
Everyone has a relationship to land. That includes the youth, too. They represent both a target group for land access and drivers of change within the land sector. However, they have been infantilised and left out of the land conversations, yet they too need the resource in order to access to loans, to build their houses and to set up small businesses in cities. In rural areas, land for this age group is essential for livelihoods, subsistence and food security. The connection between youth and land needs further exploration in order to identify the challenges and identify areas of engagement in order to ensure that tools are designed to secure land and property rights for all.
